We like to joke about how Western CRPGs are slowly mutating into high school dating sims, but I think we should contemplate exactly what we’re suggesting here. Can you imagine what Todd Howard’s idea of a high school dating sim would look like? Can you envision Elder Scrolls High?
Like, folks keep getting the “you’ve gained a reputation for abusing people’s hearts and now everyone hates you” bad ending and can’t figure out why, until somebody digs into the code and discovers that due to a programming oversight, horses are capable of jealousy.
Rather than coming up with a more suitable framework, it still uses the Elder Scrolls game engine and just flags everybody as essential, except they forgot to flag the janitor; sometimes he’ll just randomly walk off the roof and die, with no indication that this has happened until the plot inexplicably dead-ends hours later because he was supposed to give you a quest involving a giant talking rat living in the girls’ locker room.
Meanwhile in Hell I could go on forever about hell adventures but i wont. I do thou have a battle buddy comic about when jeremy joins the hell crew but i want to colour that whole thing too so just…look out for it
I feel as though I should make a side blog to for most of the Nanu stuff I reblog… Idk I just feel bad for basically reblogging the same pictures/gifs over and over and spamming people with it… I probably will after I’m back from college and reorganized.
